Lars Olsson worked for and managed Studio One , Courtenay for eleven years and now works for Lifetouch Canada. Lars is available evenings and weekends to capture those forever memories for you and your family, on location. Studio shots if requested. Lars came to the Comox Valley in 1990, making Courtenay his home. Lars started out as a soldier in the Canadian Army. He then moved to the Air Force where he worked as a photographer. The experience he gained there helped after he left the Canadian Armed Forces.
After leaving the forces Lars started working for Studio One Cameras on 5th Street in Courtenay. Lars brought a wealth of knowledge to that business working as a photographer, and eventually managing the studio, and store.
Lars enjoys exploring and photographing the local vistas as well as becoming more familiar with what Vancouver Island has to offer a person who loves adventure and who has a creative eye for revealing its beauty. Photography has been a life long hobby for Lars as well as a career choice. You can often find him out early to meet the sun as it rises, or enjoying the beautiful light of the mid-afternoon or evening.
Lars has explored many of the island's and the mainland coast's secrets by himself, as well as with his wife and daughter. The whole family love the outdoors and the friendly and enthusiastic people they encounter who may live in the area or come as tourists to enjoy its beauty.
As a photographer Lars' talent extends to a variety of subjects. He is both a fine landscape and local wildlife photographer as well as being experienced and displaying a creative edge in depicting individuals or groups in portraits. He is able to bring events and occasions such as weddings and anniversaries alive with his unique perspective.
Lars is an easy-going, professional individual who easily develops rapport with his clients.and sets them at ease so he can capture their individuality and life. Lars' personable style and light sense of humor help set the mood for a memorable shot.
